SKILL DEVELOPMENT

After basic education, it is the skill which enable easy way to drive the developmental chain of progress. Skill not only provides respect and honour but also sustainable income to every individual. Ever since, the organization strongly believed and acted on “Hunar Hai to Qadar Hai”. Therefore, almost all developmental programmes that we implemented, emphasized on Skill Development to all be it Children, Women, Youths, Men and particularly marginalized family members should get the opportunity to develop their skill in the sectors /trades of their choice.
Since 2009, the organisation is implementing“Jan Shikshan Sansthan”in Motihari, East Champaran supported by Ministry of Human Resource and Skill Development which now is under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. By, 31 March, 2024we have skilled more than 22,500 non-literates, neo-literates as well as school drop-outs in rural regions by identifying skills that have a relevant market in the region. From August, 2021 onwards, under “Jan Shikshan Sansthan”Sitamarhi, we are providing vocational skills in Sitamarhi district. By, 31 March, 2024 we have trained more than 5,000 people from marginalized and poor communities belonging to Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other Backward Castes, Minority and Economical weaker section. Out of the total entrepreneurs from both districts over 18700 are employed / self-employed.
With the support of LIC Housing Finance Ltd. we skilled 338 women in 04 demanding trades and out of them 286 women got employed. With the support of HDFC Bank Ltd. about 225 beneficiaries (women and young boys and girls) trained and many are attending skill training in Bachhwara block of Begusarai district.
We have also provided skill trainings to thousands of SHGs women across Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Vaishali districts in Bihar and Godda & Sahibganj districts in Jharkhand. Some of the flagship programmes were as “Swa-Shakti” “Swawalamban”, “Swaymsiddha”, “Deep Project”, “MNSY”, “SGSY”, “Priyadarshini”, “Jharkhand Tribal Empowerment and Livelihood”.
