The journey of Educating Girls begins from 1998 running Non-Formal Education Centre in Muzaffarpur district and since then it educated above 25000 girls from rural areas in districts like Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, East Champaran, Madhubani and Patna. To educate out of school girls it operated Non-Formal Education Centre where teachers recruited, trained and imparted elementary education to girls. In each centre, averagely 30 girl children in the age group 6-14 years imparted elementary education and then mainstreamed the min government schools for formal education. Our donor partnersat different periods were the tere-des-hommes, the KFB Austria, the Hans Foundation, the IIMPACT etc. “the tere-des-hommes” supported “Education and Health Programme for Girls” implemented in Marwan block of Muzaffarpur district from 2004 to 2011 in which 15 learning centres and tution centres operated.In later phase, the project provided skill training to adolescents’ girls in various trades with the objective to making them self-dependent. “the KFB Austria” supported “Girls Education & Health Programme” implemented in Majorganj and Suppi blocks of Sitamarhi district from 2007 to 2013 in which 35 learning centres operated. “the Hans Foundation” supported “DalitAdolescent Girls Child Education Programme” implemented in Motihari and Bankatwa blocks of East Champaran district in which 08-12 learning centre operated from 2012 to 2018. “The IIMPACT” supported “Girl Child Education project” is running from 2015 in Paliganj block of Patna district where 50 learning centres are operated whereas from 2017 onwards 20 learning centres are operated in laukaha and Jhanjharpur blocks of Madhubani district enhancing subjective understanding and capabilities 2106.The impact of these programmes contributed to the enrollment of girls to 98% in primary level and 65% to secondary level as published in the Annual Status of Education Report 2022 (Rural).
